TruLight designs the lights and the app that controls them, and sells them only through authorized dealers. Dealers offer professional installation, and many also sell a DIY kit you install yourself with our training videos. Every system uses a 48V circuit, and the LEDs are rated for 100,000 hours. Dealer-installed systems carry a lifetime warranty on the lighting modules and control box. DIY kits are not covered by the TruLight manufacturer warranty.

48V circuit
Gemstone and Bosso use 12V, and Celebright and Haven use 24V. TruLight's 48V circuit carries steady power up to 300 feet, so the far end doesn't dim the way low-voltage runs do, and it needs fewer power injection points.
Six LEDs, three of them warm white
Each light has three RGB LEDs and three dedicated warm white LEDs. Pure white turns on all six, where most other systems have three or fewer. The warm white LEDs flatter stone and stucco.
UCS7604 chip, full RGB color
The UCS7604 RGBW chip gives you the full RGB color spectrum, about 16 million colors, plus dedicated warm white and pure white modes.

What is TruLight?+
TruLight is a permanent outdoor LED lighting system that mounts under your eaves and behind trim. The lights match your trim color when off and produce 90 to 120 lumens per light at full brightness. Each light has 6 LEDs on a 48V system, and you control the whole system from a single app.
How is TruLight different from other permanent lights?+
TruLight uses 6 LEDs per light, 3 RGB plus 3 dedicated warm white, where Gemstone, JellyFish and Bosso lights have 3. Pure white turns on all six LEDs. The 48V system carries steady power down a long run, so the far end doesn't dim the way low-voltage runs do, and it needs fewer power injection points. You can also add motion sensors, and the app has thousands of patterns, 144 effects and music sync.
Who sells and installs TruLight?+
Authorized TruLight dealers sell and install it. TruLight sells only through its dealers and has no install crews of its own. Your dealer measures your home, gives you the quote and does the install. Many dealers also offer a DIY kit.
How much does TruLight cost?+
TruLight is a premium system and typically costs more than cheaper 12V systems. Prices vary by market, and the dealer who serves your area quotes your home. When you request a quote here, we share it with a local dealer.
Often, yes. Many TruLight dealers offer a DIY kit that includes the full library of install training videos. A DIY install usually takes longer than a professional one, and your dealer can tell you what to expect. DIY kits are not covered by the TruLight manufacturer warranty, which applies only to systems installed by a certified TruLight dealer.
Can I make my own patterns?+
Yes. The TruLight app comes with thousands of patterns and 144 effects, and you can build your own. A pattern is the color design, and an effect is how the lights move. You can save patterns, schedule them and give each zone of your home its own pattern.
Yes. Each light is individually addressable, so you can choose any color combination across the system, set up patterns and set the brightness of each light.
Dealer-installed TruLight systems come with a lifetime warranty on the lighting modules and control box. DIY kits are not covered. You register the warranty within 30 days of installation by emailing a copy of your signed agreement to warranty@thetrulight.com.
